Why I fell in love with “High School Musical”
The majority of the “High School Musical”-fans are probably between 7-14, but the great thing about these movies is that the movies have both young and old fans. I was about 18 years old when I first heard about “HSM” and that was during summer 2006. When you’re watching the movies you can easy relate to one or more things that the characters go through. I also thinks the music and the actors are two elements to why “HSM” became such a big succés around the world.
All three movies have almost everything; music, love, friendship, small intrigues, cute boys and beautiful girls and more.
When you see Zac and Vanessa in the movies you can’t miss their amazing chemistry. That was one of the thing why I fell in love with the “HSM” in the first place. Another one was of course the music. ‘Breaking Free’ will always be one of my favorite songs from the movies. Even if the role of Gabriella isn’t that deep I think Vanessa did a great work and developed the role through all three movies.
I really love musicals and the first musical I saw was “Grease”. It feels like “Grease” is for my mum and dads generation and when “HSM” came it became our generation’s “Grease”.

It was so magical to me because I learned that it is okay to be different and I am different to the other people.
After seeing the movie in 2006 I got deeper in my passion for singing and acting.
I sang the songs all the time and now I’m 18 and still love it over every other movie.
I love the chemistry between Zac and Vanessa and the chemistry between Vanessa and Ashley even though it wasn’t that deep in the first movie.
When i have children, i will show them that movie. It’s just my childhood, my history. <3

i fell in love with the whole cast. i love Zanessa and i will be forever a fan of them. its been a years now since then, but i still have the playlist of the songs there.

since I was 7 years old I loved high school musical and now 12 years still love it, and I have friends who say the movie is for little kids but that’s why they do not know what is real movie, I do not let love HSM but still so loving and do not let anyone take that away from me

I was 15 when the first HSM aired, and I’ve loved them all since. I’m 20 (almost 21) now, and I still watch them from time to time! It’s just a fun, clean, good musical.
i completely agree, tv needs more clean movies like hsm and not the retarded stuff like it’s got now!
When I first heard the name “High School Musical” did not care much, but had a presentation at school and played the song “We’re All In This Together,” and fell in love, I wanted because I wanted to buy the dvd’s of them and I made a point to be all original, after this day does not leave the front of the television, I learned the songs and the choreography super fast and could not stand in the hour of songs that had choreography, and was always singing, even when I spent the movie watched, since then my life turned High School Musical.
I love High School Musical, and I was very sad at the end of them …
I am very grateful to Zac, Vanessa, Corbin, Ashley, Lucas, Monique and the rest of the cast.

I was 16 when the first HSM came out. Now I’m 21 and I still love it. A lot of people always say that it had no real point to it. But it did. It’s meaning, follow your heart. Don’t let anyone else tell you what’s better for you. It’s your life. Do what makes you happy.

Since I was eleven, I loved ‘High School Musical’! Now I’m sixteen, I still love HSM.
Why I love HSM? I love the chemistry between Troy and Gabrelia. From the movie, Gabrelia was a transfer student who met a basketball captain, Troy. Through the musical, their relationship got stronger and stronger. I hope the chemistry is still on in reality.
I love HSM casts’ singing, dancing and acting. I think singing, dancing and acting in a big group is really fun which is now I’m doing. Because of HSM, I join some courses which involv musical elements.
Apart from these, I have lots of reasons why I love HSM. I hope I can meet the HSM cast and take some photos. This is my dream.

who say’s it’s for the youngster only…I was in my mid 20′s when I’m hooked with this movie…it started when my co-office mate choose HSM as a theme for our corporate xmas party and so I watched it to get an idea on what to wear..and BANG..I’m hooked…I fell in love with all the songs, the story is simple but it will surely touch ur heart, and the performance of the whole cast is superb. All I can say it’s that it really makes me feel very very young at heart…..The evidence that I was hooked in this movie – I just bought all it’s magazine and DVD’s and I’ve also collected other HSM stuff I can see in the mall…

Great post sara! I was never into musicals. But when I first seen hsm I thought yeah this is our generations musical right here! I was 22 when it came out. Now I’m 26. Gonna be 27 monday! When I first seen zac and vanessa in the movie I said omg there zac from summerland and vanessa from thirteen and thunderbirds! I still love all three of the musicals!

Omg I was 6 when the first one came out now I’m 12 and miss them! I totally wish they would make another one but with the same cast. Does anyone agree that without the same cast it wouldn’t be the same? Vanessa and Zac should totally get back together. Pleeeeze make another film!
