We’re Not Just Fans, We’re A Community
Hi Chay here from the Team Hudgens site. Team Hudgens came about when three fans realized that there was a need for a place that is not only dedicated solely to Vanessa Hudgens and created by fans, but also where her fans can share credible and objective news about her and her activities, interact intelligently with each other, and provide an unwavering and meaningful support to Vanessa and her career.
Since the site’s inception in December 2008, we strived to live our mission and grow not just as a fandom but as a community.
We certainly do aim to have incredible times together in our support for Vanessa. We’ve created birthday wishes scrapbook, which we hand-delivered in Vancouver in October 2009; we shared our family recipes when we created a Team Hudgens recipe book for her 22nd birthday; we started fund-raising for disaster relief and Stand Up 2 Cancer in Vanessa’s name; and we’ve organized cross-country and around-the-world trips to have meet-ups, a momentous one being a meet-up that included having a chit-chat with Vanessa at a little cafe in Vancouver and another to see her perform in Rent at the Hollywood Bowl.
Our group mostly consists of a mixed bunch of older fans from around the world- the majority of our members are older than the HSM target-demographic – and we do have very hectic demanding offline lives, but we hope to be around for awhile – supporting and cheering on Vanessa as she makes an even bigger mark in the world of entertainment.
